Most U.S. legal permanent residents are eligible to become American citizens after living in the U.S. for five years. However, few of us do so because of concerns that the citizenship process is too difficult or we just aren’t sure how to start. That’s why we are here to help – sign up now for information, tools, and guidance to get started on the road to full U.S. citizenship.

The process can be easier and more affordable than you may think. Application fees are often waived for those who can prove financial hardship. If one of the following applies to you, you likely qualify for the fee waiver:

  • Receive public benefits - Federal or state means-tested benefits qualify.
  • Low income - Annual household incomes at or below 150% of the federal poverty level qualify.
  • Financial Hardship - Can include recent unemployment, high medical expenses, et cetera.

Currently, 75% of those who apply for fee waivers are approved.
